Beve Hornsby's unique self-checking pairs employ a "double reinforcement" principle. The games are played with the pictures face down (blank side up) and the words face down (phonemes/spelling rules face up). Using the phonemes for prompts, players look for the key picture. A correct pair will then match the word with the picture. The phoneme or spelling rule is thus associated with the word and with the key picture. The pack may be used alongside Alpha to Omega, or without it. Pack contains 18 phonics games.
