Using the resource:

The teacher or parent dictates in the normal way from the text section (below)

The student, ideally, has an acetate sheet, - tinted if possible-  or just an ordinary file pouch , placed over the "boxes" page, and fills in the boxes WITH A DRY WIPE marker, so any mistakes can be wiped out and corrected until a the right spelling is arrived at.

This page is found at the beginning of Book One. The course progresses through both stages of Alpha to Omega (familiarity with which is not a requirement for using Box Dictations), covering all the range of spelling rules.
