RECAP GAME: after five (occasionally 6) games the group of rime families last covered are shown, along with their visual cues, on a single board, giving a revision opportunity.
Before playing bingo with this board, it should be used  to go over the different  sounds covered. Players spend a few minutes recalling (or building new) words from the rimes shown.

In the RECAP game, students are given the opportunity to generate their own analogies from the rimes, again using a bingo game format. Thus throughout the sequence of activities children have HEARD, SEEN AND WRITTEN  the phonemes, SYNTHESISED  words (built them up) and  ANALYSED them (identified chunks within the words).
